Scott was busy doing some unexpected cleaning. Either the weather figured out how to magically snow inside his car while it was inside the garage... or he needed to kick Bobby's ass again. Well not kick... hard... just nudge him in the proper direction. With his foot.
Scott was drying out the interior and had just put some vac fans into the interior as he headed into the mansion. He trolled about the commons and pulled out his phone and texted Bobby. 'Hey Frosty, why don't you come down to the commons if you about, we can go get something to drink.'
He smirked, the kid needed to learn a lesson in respecting barriers. It was time to teach him. But he was going to be nice to his buddy. Scott wheeled his keys in his left hand and adjusted his ruby glasses with his right as he went to the closet and grabbed his jacket.

Bobby was still in bed when Scott messaged him, he was hangover and felt terrible, last night was pretty much a blur of fun and Zelda, and oh that Zelda knew how to party. He checked his phone and groaned, the idea of getting something to drink wasn’t tempting, but he could still go down and grab a coffee.
He put on a pair of jeans and the first clean t-shirt he found, plus a pair of sunglasses, the light was hurting his eyes. He sent a short “I’ll come down” before leaving his room, he yawned and scratched his head while walking. What did Scott really want? Bobby didn’t usually have fun with the older guy, even if Scott did have his moments, it happened rarely.
Entering the commons he saw Scott, who looked ready to leave “hey Scotty, what’s up?” he asked and yawned again “what time is it? The phone woke me up, last night got kind of out of hand” he grinned, out of hand in a good way, with Zelda.

By the time Bobby came down, Scott was wearing his dark aviator jacket and had pulled on some black felt gloves. He noticed how worn out Bobby looked and switched his plan to something less... difficult. He smirked at Bobby as he asked him the time. "A quarter to 11. Good thing its the weekend Frosty or you'ld be in trouble." He slapped him on the shoulders.
"I figured the two of us could get some coffee and breakfast together. We don't get to chat very often." That couldn't be because Scott was a full fledge introvert at his heart of stone? No, of course not.
"C'mon, I will give you a ride." Scott headed for the garage and pulled the drying fan out. His seat was kind of dry but the passenger seat was still soaked. Perfect. He settled down in the car and waited for Bobby to join them. They were still going to have a nice time.

He shrugged “only the kids are late in my classes, I actually get there as fast as I can, hoping to get things done quickly so we can end them early, have to admit that teaching is awkward” he smiled and added “especially when the students are both hot and close to my own age, some of them might get hard to resist”. He sometimes wondered why he had taken the job, but he wondered even more why the Professor had given it to him.
“Coffee and breakfast sounds good actually, especially coffee, loads of coffee” he pointed to his head “might help this headache get out”. It wasn’t exactly like Scott to want to be social and especially not with Bobby, they didn’t have any problems usually, but he didn’t feel they usually had much in common either. Bobby did however suspect that Scott rolled his eyes behind those visors of his at him sometimes.
He nodded and followed to the garage “so what made you feel like sharing breakfast with me? Is Jean busy?” he wasn’t sure about the status when it came to Scott and Jean, but she was back and it was probably just a question of time before those two hooked up again, if anyone was meant to be together, it had to be them. He took a seat in the passenger seat and eyes widened, his seat was soaked, and he would have a big wet spot on his butt after this ride.
What had Bobby done last night? He tried to remember and it quickly came back to him, this was the car he had borrowed without asking, it was the car where he and Zelda had spent some fun times in the back seat and once they were done. He remembered driving her home after their little fun car adventure, before he drove the car back to the school, he had been drinking and driving in Scott’s car! Now, why was it wet? Oh right, after he parked the car, he thought it would be fun to create a family of ice people in the car, so there had been one ice sculpture on each seat when he had left the car and gone to bed.
He mentally kicked himself and figured that he should drink less next time, also do not bring a car when you go out drinking! Call for a cab instead, he slowly shook his head, before he snickered a bit, as stupid as it was, he couldn’t help but see the humor in it and in a way, it was kind of funny.

In the deepest darkest recesses of his mind, Scott agreed with Bobby. But he would keep that between Scott and himself. He nodded to Bobby's words. "It can be tough for us, but the important thing, the most important thing is that they have someone who went through this for support. And still going through it really. We can never assume that its time to stop learning."
He nodded to Bobby as he agreed and then asked a follow up question. Scott grumbled something and retorted to the question about Jean, "is the sun up? Same answer. Also same answer to 'is it night?'" He wasn't bitter that he was the fifth thing on Jean's to-do list... he at least suspected he was ON the list.
Once they were in the car, he said nothing about the seat, his own was dry, that was important. The back was dry, that was important. The artifacts were catalogued and ziploc-ed, that was important. He would bug his car next time too, just in case.
"Have you ever thought about getting your own car Bobby?" He let him answer. "Well if you have something in mind, and I can find a husk that's solid enough, I would be happy to build it for ya, time the finish for your birthday or Christmas." He would let Bobby confess or not, his choice.
He pulled into the small diner a bit later. "Lead the way Frosty."

Bobby let out a sigh “guess you’re right, I am giving this a shot aren’t I? It’s not like I could say no when the Prof asked me” he would give it a while, just because it wasn’t that easy at first didn’t mean it wouldn’t be great after a while right?
He gave Scott a nod, figuring that Jean was a subject that would have to wait. Bobby had always liked Jean a lot, she was always nice and seemed to appreciate him more than a couple of the others had done when they were younger.
“Yes, I have thought about getting my own car, but I suck at saving up money” he shifted in his wet seat, this was uncomfortable enough. Wait, was Scott talking about giving him a car? “That would really be the best gift anyone could give me, but it’s not necessary to go through that for me” he would probably have been all over the idea if it wasn’t for feeling guilty about Scott’s wet car.
Getting out of the car, he wished he was in uniform as he would then have been able to just turn his lower half into ice and then back again, this would have dried his butt, but with normal pants he would just destroy them.
He easily figured that Scott would notice that he was wet, so he decided to apologize “Scott, I guess I need to confess something, last night I kind of borrowed your car and well… to keep it short, there was loads of ice in it when I put it back in the garage” he figured it was best to leave out the part where he and Zelda had gotten naughty in the back seat “I am sorry, I shouldn’t have done that without asking”.

Scott smiled to Bobby and nodded to him. "Absolutely and you are doing actually a pretty good job, no worse than the rest of us." He smiled to him. "Remember, at the end of the day we are all still learning here. Powers, duties, or just academics."
He nodded to Bobby as thye spoke about the car and laughed. "Like I am not doing it just to have an excuse to indulge my hobby... but if you wanna make it feel like a shared burden I would be happy to have you around for some of the heavy work, fours hands and three eyes are better than two and one." He lightly punched Bobby in the shower.
He knew Bobby's pants were wet from the wet seat, he didn't need to mention it. Would serve the kid right. He stayed impassive as Bobby 'fessed up and apologized. He moved to sit at the counter and nodded. "I know." He turned to the counterside waitress. "Coffee black."
"I ran drying fans on my seat and the backseats before I called you down. I left the passenger seat for after this." Scott gave him a cruel smile. "But we're all good now." He also left out the part of what he found in the backseat while he was cleaning up. Bobby could figure that out himself later.

“I would probably be a better tutor than a teacher, but hey, the prof probably knows what he is doing, he always does” Bobby did have a lot of faith in Xavier and rarely questioned him, not that he really gave him any reason to question him.
Bobby smiled, he really did need a car and if Scott wanted to build him one, it would just be fair if Bobby helped out “okay, sure, I can help, even if I know nothing about building cars, it would just be fair of me to help out if it’s for me” it was the least he could do.
It made sense that Scott already knew, the passenger seat had been wet, and it would not make sense if only that seat was wet considering that there was ice in the whole car. “Need some black coffee myself” he said to the waitress who nodded and smiled.
“Ah… Well, I am really sorry, it was really stupid of me to take it without asking and filling it with ice” he figured this wasn’t the time to joke about it, he would wait a few weeks with that. “I am glad, I don’t want you to be too mad at me, a little annoyed now and then is enough” he said with a smile, hoping Scott really meant that they were good.

Scott nodded to Bobby and his comment. "Well just so you know, you are off the hook on having to chaperone still for awhile. Jean and I take those short straws. So at the Ball you can just be one of the guys and kids." Scott gave him a slap on the shoulder.
He figured that Bobby would be some help during the building of the car, at least a second set of hands. When it came to work, Bobby could be a good worker, following directions. When he played, he became irresponsible but that was okay. That's what you got to do when you played. "Hey could be worse, I could be inviting you to play a three corner RTS with me and Erik." He smirked. He knew Bobby had the least to do with Erik of the first students.
Scott waved off Bobby's comment about the car. "I got most of it done already, just left the seat for your bum to clean." He smirked. He turned to the breakfast bar waitress. "Ham and cheese omelette with fruit." He let Bobby order and sipped his coffee.

Bobby grinned, he was looking forward to the ball, sure he wouldn’t hit on the students from his own school, but Emma’s students were fair game “yeah, that is because you guys are getting old, you are all grown up, I still got a few more years until I start getting grey hair”.
Not only was Bobby good at following directions and helping out with things, he was also a quick learner as long as he actually paid attention, so he would probably be good help with the car. “With you and Erik? Now that sounds boring, I would rather teach some extra classes” he didn’t know Erik that well, the man had left without leaving much of an impact on Bobby other than some dislike, he was so much more strict and less fun than Professor Xavier.
“Hah, serves me right I guess” he would have done the same thing if it was his car, so he didn’t blame Scott at all for leaving his seat wet, Bobby would however make something funnier about it, like suggesting that he had wet himself or something. “Thanks” he said to the waitress as he got his coffee “two eggs, bacon and toast” he ordered, he had realized that he was actually pretty hungry, his hangovers was more about headache than sickness, so eating was not really a problem.

Scott gave Bobby a slight glare. "Yes, we are getting old." He then reached into Bobby's hair and 'pulled out' a gray hair. It was really just a piece of his sweater. "Oh look at that." He smirked to Bobby. "As it is, it will be nice to have a stressless date with Jean, and seeing Emma again will be nice." He smiled to himself.
"Most would, though would you be interested in a CoD co-op game, he wants me to find a fourth member for a tourney squad." He wondered if Bobby would be up for that, it sounded more like a fun time. "Be warned, he acts like we are storming the beaches of Normandy every scenario." He snorted. "It gets funny sometimes."
He waited until his food arrived and started with his fruit. "You taking Zelda to the dance? Or leaving your elf ears behind?" Scott smirked as he poked at the iceman.
