Suzanne was extending a small blanket in the lawn of the gardens as the clouds covered the sun in the afternoon. Then she sat on the blanket and moved the basket she brought near her. Suzanne was dressed with her mother's jacket, a white shirt and black jeans. It has passed a week since she enrolled in Mass. Academy, and the experience had been nice.
Many of the students were friendly and had powers that were very curious and strange like the ones she had. The teacher were nice too and always helped Suzanne when she had questions.
The young mutant decided that after classes she would have a small picnic in the grounds of the Academy. In a basket she brought a lot of food, enough for her. First she started grabbing an apple and took a small bite. She had to admit that the gardens were wonderful, like the rest of the school. As she took another bite of the apple, she wondered how things would be for her once she graduated, the world was getting harder and harder because all the mutant hysteria. But she knew that she could do it, although her parents were dead she felt like they were still with her, and she was starting to feel like home in the academy.
