This is first and foremost a school. The Basics
Name: Clarice Ferguson Codename: Blink Type of Character: Canon Species: Mutant Play-by or Voice Actor: Susan Coffey Age: 17 Gender: Female Sexual Preference: Bi-curious, but predominantly straight. Height: 5'1 Weight: 120lbs
Faction: Neutral School Year: N/A yet. Occupation: street thief
Tough break Scott, doing the school play with pale gloomy and grumpy over there. The Details
Body Type: Short and slender with a noticeable feminine curve, currently slightly emaciated from malnutrition.
Wardrobe: She has somewhat of a punk type of style. Lots of ripped jeans, though usually this is from wear and tear. She will almost always have a pendant around her neck with a small photo of the Joker and Harley Quinn in an embrace.
Costume: Currently N/A
Posture: Clarice's posture can be described as both shy and aggressive. She has an air around her that simply screams leave me alone. This due to having abandonment issues she tries to ward off any would-be losses.
Personality: Blink is a bit of a loner. Being raised by a band of cut purses doesn't really help with social skills. She's a bit awkward when you first talk to her as she doesn't really know how to react to polite conversation. Her humor is usually forced due to her nerves. She's a bit shy, but do not mistake her for someone who's silent. Blink has no shame in speaking her mind. She's strong willed and refuses to back down once she's made up her mind.
However this can be detrimental as she has a little issue with being wrong. Being your own person for so long, and making all of the 'right' decisions for yourself really took a toll. She has severe abandonment issues and does her best not to get close to anyone. All in all she's not a bad person, she just has issues. Over time with help she may find that not being alone isn't so bad.
She has a deep love for all things Batman, and video games. Desperately wanting to fit in somewhere, though appearing to not give a shit, she does her best to be someone else. Especially since she can't figure out who she is. She's sweet once you get past her hard exterior, and extremely caring. She would be a fiercely loyal friend if she could get past her abandonment issues.
In a way she's a very skittish, yet strangely strong, young woman. She's cautious with people, but wants to find her place. She won't back down, ever, especially now that she knows she's not the only mutant out there going through these weird changes.
Its hard enough being a teenager!
When asking her about humans vs mutants Clarice is most definitely pro-mutant. Her parents, humans, cast her away like garbage simply for her looks. Other 'normal' people shy away from her, afraid they might catch her mutant genetics. So Clarice holds a bit of a grudge towards the human kind. That being said she is also envious of them. She struggles with being a mutant, and a part of her wishes she could just be one of them.

So... got any cool powers? Powers and Abilities
Genetic Mutation: - :: Teleportation ::
Blink has the ability to teleport herself, and eventually others, at will. This is a very tricky power and she's far from having it mastered. She still manages to appear in the wrong place or teleport when she's upset. She's trying to figure out the mechanics of this gift. Her teleportations are always accompanied by a "blink!" sound, from which she takes her codename.
- :: Enhanced Agility ::
it is unknown whether her enhanced agility is the result of simple training or a consequence of her mutation.
- :: Later on with more training ::
Blink will be able teleport large masses of, including sizable groups of people. She will also be able to teleport only parts of objects. She can open portals that displace projectiles and even enemies that threaten her. She can also focus her ability into short, transparent, crystal-like javelins, which teleport whatever persons or objects they touch. She can charge her javelins so they can cut through objects by teleporting the matter elsewhere as they strike or they can be charged to stun opponents unconscious by putting them "out of phase". She usually keeps a supply of these in a quiver around her back, but can make them, one at a time, at will.
- :: Magenta Skin ::
Blink was born with a soft pink shade to her skin. When her powers manifested and began to kick in her skin began to darken to a more prominent shade of magenta.
- :: Magenta Hair ::
Unlike her skin, which has grown into its darker shade of magenta, Blinks hair has always been the rich color it is today. She was born with the silken magenta curls that grace her head.
- :: Pupil-less Green Eyes ::
Blinks eyes, though once just a vivid green, have begun to lose their pupils and recede into a full pair of green orbs. They almost seem to glow. There are still some remnants of the iris' but they are quickly fading.
- :: Facial Markings ::
As Blinks powers progress and her skin continues to darken she will gain even darker markings around her eyes and forehead. Once these have set in it will signal that she has met her full potential.
- :: Pointed Ears ::
Blink was born with pointed "elf like" ears. She hides them with her long curly hair as they have a tendency to make normal people feel uncomfortable. It is also her attempt at feeling less... mutantlike.
Weaknesses: Currently, her lack of control over her gift. Any fluctuation of emotion or stress will set it off. Even lack of emotion sets it off, its completely unpredictable.
Learned Abilities: - Thievery.
- Escape.
- Surviving when all odds are against her.
- Reading, small feat for some but for a street thief with no home that's a big deal.
- Video games, thanks to the Gamestops in the malls.
- Quick thinker.
Resources: Currently, the backpack that stays glued to her back. Worn clothing and shoes.
Education: Some middle school, mostly self-taught.
So why not tell them the Truth Charles? The History Clarice was born to two elitist parents in Ottawa, Ontario Canada who were far more than a tad freaked when their little girl came out "pinker than normal" and with a lovely shade of magenta hair. Through her years as a growing child she was treated like a freak by both her parents and the children in the neighboring houses. Her saving grace was her brother, James. James did what he could to make her feel better, often arguing with their parents about the way they treated the young girl. He often spoke of taking her away from all this heartache. But at ten years old her parents smashed whatever hopes the young girl had.
They took her to New York, a "family trip" to Broadway. After treating her to a musical, and even a meal before that, they managed to slip away from her. Her parents left her to fend for herself on the streets of New York at that tender age before puberty. She sat in a police office for a few hours, hoping they could reunite her with her lost family; but they lived in a different country and her parents had taken her passport with them. She had no proof of her lineage, and as a result the police assumed she was lying. Only her fathers name, but Patrick Ferguson is such a common name...
After being entered into the American system she was placed in foster homes, and treated very poorly for the way she looked. Very few faces surrounded her. She could take only so much, and at 12; after fighting with her foster father, Blink "went out for a walk". He of course had yelled at her to never come back, she obliged.
From there, lost in the big city, she managed to stumble upon some 'humble' thieves. They took her in shortly after, seeing her small stature as an easy meal ticket. Her nimble hands would work wonderfully despite her strange skin color and hair. They kept her close, using her to gain chump change and barely feed her as is. She stayed with them for four years, learning the "trade" as they called it but barely living on the table scraps they gave her.
At 16 she decided to try life on her own, branching away from them. They offered her a chance to come back whenever she felt the need, and they didn't know how useful she could have been to them. It wasn't long after her departure from their alleyway hovel that her mutation kicked into full gear. While snagging a wallet off of a stranger she teleported into oncoming traffic. After a near death experience she teleported again into a shop, knocking over many mannequins and nearly sending an older woman into cardiac arrest.
Terrified of herself, and of this new strange ability, she did her best to hide away from the world. She barely ate, not wanting to experience it again. But starvation is a handy motivator, and eventually she tried to steal again. But everytime she became nervous, or even wasn't paying attention, she was blink somewhere unexpected.
For a year she has been living like this, and all she can do is pray it will simply go away.
But it only seems to grow more and more frequent.
All schools have tests. Sample Post Blink threw herself down on a couch after she tore off the white sheet that was dusty as hell. She smiled lightly at Cory. Such a good person. She sighed a little, letting her mind wander for a moment. Did she want Cory to stay? Yes, she did, but she couldn't stand for someone to see her like this. In about ten minutes Blink would be an unending wreck of tears and shaking hands. She finally met Corys eyes. "I do want you to stay, honestly..." She paused for a moment. "I'm just so sick of people seeing me like a blubbering fool. But this house... I can't help it. This was the only house that was home. And now look at it." She said sounding angry as her eyes swam with tears.
"Fucking shambles." She said angrily. She couldn't help herself as she knocked the lamp next to the couch onto the floor. She stared at it as it broke off into chunks of glass. Fuck this house. Fuck Namor. Fuck that lamp. Fuck. It. All. She didn't need this shit. After all she had moved on. She had found Xaviers... with Austins help. She didn't need Namor. She could take care of herself.
I can take care of myself...
She kept telling herself that, but still she felt her heart aching. And soon she couldn't hold it any longer, as she dropped to her knees to pick up the pieces of the lamp as if it would heal the wounds of her scarred psyche. Tears streamed down her face and her chest heaved as she began to sob, still trying to pick up the lamps shattered chunks. She tried to staunch the unending wave of sadness that kept the tears pouring. She needed to pick up this lamp.
I need to pick up this lamp before he comes home...
Her mind was delusional when she was here. She was lost in her memories, trapped in her nightmare of always being alone.
He'll be so angry...
She teleported into the kitchen and back with a dust pan and a little brush, lost in her need to fix this.
I can't stand it when he's angry... What are you talking about, Clarice?... He's never coming back... But if he does!
Her mind warred with itself, trying to diffuse her delusions of ever seeing Namor again. She collapsed then, the broken lamp swept up into the pan and her face in her hands.
He's not coming back... He's never coming back...

Everything looks alright to me. The only thing I ask is add her view of mutant and human relations.
