Lorna was having a day, one hell of a day. She did horrible on her last algebra exam and then was late for work because she had to schedule a re-test. At work her day didn’t get any better especially when her day turned to night, the townies were extra hands on tonight. Now she was going to miss curfew because she had to stay late for the girl on the next shift was late and her jeep decided to die two miles from the school. She couldn’t call the school for a ride or to avoid the trouble she was going to get into for being late because her phone was dead which made her wish she could figure out a way to juice her phone with her electro-magnetism without destroying it. Lorna was walking for she was sure she would get in more trouble for being caught flying than being late. She wore a jean mini-skirt over purple wool tights. A purple mesh top cover in black skulls, layered with a long cardigan vest and a thin jean jacket. Her green hair was pulled back in a ponytail sporting a silver skull ponytail holder. The outfit was great for getting tips at Harry’s but not so much on walking two miles in mid-February. On the bright side with how bright her hair was it was highly unlike she would be hit by a car unless they wanted to hit her. She slung her black leather backpack with angel wings over her shoulder and pulled her jacket closer to her as she trekked home. Lorna wondered would Scott be waiting at the door to yell and punish her. Then again maybe no one notice she was missing. The green haired teen was unsure which was worse. You think with how much Lorna has been forgotten about in her life time it would be Scott waiting up for her but you would be wrong. Still she gritted her teeth and just continued to walk telling herself to just stop thinking and keep moving.

She was scared.
She was so so scared and there was nothing she could do to not be scared anymore.
Sister had warned her not to go out. Not to let men see her. But she had. She had seen Julian Keller and his adorable child and father had chastised her severely for that sin.
The lashes across her back and wigs still bled, even after flying until she couldn't fly anymore. Sister Mary Agethena had led her to the tower and urged her to go, get away, find someplace where she would be safe.
But did any such place exist anymore?
Lila had flown blindly, keeping low, until she crashed to earth in a tumble of feathers and limbs and blood.
She sat by the side of the road, crying softly, her beat up and battered teddybear clutched tightly in her lap, when she saw a girl with green hair heading her way.
"Hello?" Lila said softly, and wiped at her eyes.

Lorna was not expecting to meet anyone on her trek to the school. She doubted the school would send anyone looking for her and in Westchester very few people take walks this late of night. So, Lorna was extremely surprised to find someone by the side of the road. She was dumbfound by the fact the person appeared to be a weeping angel.
‘She’s not stone so I think it alright if she looks at me but still I should reframe from blinking too much.’
She shook her thoughts from her head as the weeping angel spoke to her. Lorna froze for a moment trying to figure out what to do. The young mutant quickly decided that it was best if she tried to help. She really didn’t think from how she was dress the weeping angel was going to hurt her. Unless she blinked too much…
“Hello…” Lorna smiled slightly trying to seem unthreatening as she could.
“Do you need help?” She asked setting her bag down as she took off her jacket and offered it to the angel. “Here. You look cold.” Lorna, of course, realized that she was sucking at the whole helping and angel in distress but hope her floundering attempt to help the other girl did some good.

"Th-thank you..." Lila managed to stammer out. She took the jacket and draped it over her back. "I'm sorry... if I get blood on it I'll find a way to buy you a new one."
Her hands were shaking, but not from fear of the green haired girl. It was more from fear of what she had flown from.
"I wish I could remember how to get there... why did I let them hide me the whole trip out? Mr. Summers would help me if he could, I know he would..." Lila said quietly to herself, not really realizing she was talking out loud.

“Don't worry about the jacket, it's easy to replace. I probably have too many anyways.” Lorna rubbed her upper arm trying to war off the chill in the night air. “Angel girls are a might bit harder to replace. At least that is what I figure since you are the first I have met.” She was doing her best to help put the crying girl at ease as she tried to figured out what she could do to help her. She was sure Scott in school handbook had exactly what she should do in this situation which made her wish she had gotten around to reading it.
As Lorna's brain try to work out the best course of action her hands moved to cover Lila's shaking hands. Then she said something that stood out to her. “Mr. Summers?” She repeated and cocked her head to the side. “Are you talking about Scott?”
“Were you looking for Xavier's?” She asked as she stepped back and adjusted her backpack having decided what she was going to do. “I go to Xavier's.” She smiled and blew a green lock out of her face. “I figured my hair would give that much away.”
Her eyes went over the girl's wings for a moment. “Are they working or just for decoration?” She asked figuring she would know she was talking about her wings as she began looking around to make sure they did not have any onlookers. She figured since this was a bit of a special circumstance that she wouldn't get in trouble with flying home as long as she made sure no one saw them.
A frowned teased Lorna's lips as a few things began to click into place. “Your wings are not damaged, are they? I can fly us both if you don't mind being bubbled.” She was a bit curious who would be crazy enough to hurt an angel's wings. Even if they weren't a real holy angel, it had to be bad mojo to hurt one.

Lila smiled a bit shakily at Lorna's teasing assesment of her. "Thank you. For being so nice to me. I truly appreciate it." Lila's voice was soft, and Lorna might begin to wonder if she ever spoke louder than that barely above a whisper tone.
“Mr. Summers?” She repeated and cocked her head to the side. “Are you talking about Scott?”

Lila's head snapped up in excitement. "Yes! Mr. Summers-- Scott Summers... the sisters took me to tour the school this week, but they didn't let me stay because Father Dralins wanted me to stay at the convent. But when he found out I left again.... he hurt me. Mr. Summers told me I could come back if I needed to, and-- I can't go back to the convent now...Your hair is lovely, by the way. I was wondering if it was natural.."
“Your wings are not damaged, are they? I can fly us both if you don't mind being bubbled."
Lila shook her head no. "My back is pretty messed up, but my wings are okay. I flew this far, I mean. You make bubbles?"

“Despite have evil looking hair I am generally nice.” Lorna told the angel girl trying to put her at ease. She wasn’t good at subtlety and probably scaring the girl more than anything. It was just the girl’s unlucky day that out of all of Xavier’s student and staff she was found by her. “At least, I try to be.”
Lorna listened intently to everything the girl was saying. Talking about nuns made her knuckles hurt from phantom pains brought from her early memories of catholic girls’ school. From her experience nuns were mean and violent but apparently by the angel’s were so were priest, it didn’t really surprise her though.
She did find it slightly amusing that even in her terror the girl felt the need to comment on her hair. She blew a stare curl out of her eyes and then shook her head when the other girl asked about her powers. “Well, I can make bubbles but they are not normal bubbles. They are made out of electro-magnetic energy. I am basically a magnet girl.” She said with shrugged not thinking her power was much of a big deal.
“I am Lorna Dane, by the way.” She said as she pushed off from the grind and started to hover of the ground. Her hair began to move about as if it had a mind of its own like it tends to do when she used her powers “I figure you might want to know the name of your flying companion.”
“If you get tired or wings start to hurt just tell me.” Lorna did her best to reassure the girl. “I can fly us both with no trouble or we can rest if you need to.” She wanted to make sure that girl was comfortable with her figuring she had enough stress already tonight.
“Don’t worry; I will make sure you get to the school and Scott in one piece.” A smile teased her lips and she tilts her head to the side. “I am sure he is going to be excited by the fact someone actually wants to see him.” She knew she wasn’t looking forward to seeing Scott or the lecture she was sure he was thinking up for her as they speak.
