Activity
As with all RP messageboards, Activity is an important thing for the staff to monitor and starting on the first of March, we will be doing what we can to check on the health of the board. However we are doing things a bit differently than some of you are use to.
Activity Checks, where the members have to tag a thread to retain their character control, we feel is an incomplete picture and an unfair practice to those with consistent activity. So we have decided that this method will be not used.
On the first of each month, starting March 1st, the staff will scan the board and prune threads. Threads with a last post date longer than one week will be checked and if an active thread, the individual who owes the post will be privately contacted. This information will be kept between the staff and affected players. Upon repeated insistences of this, the player will receive penalties. After 2 straight months, your character count may be locked until improvement is noticed. If you have 3 monthes on report in a six month period, you may be stripped of your membership. Obviously, those with active Leave of Absences will not be on report.
It is my hope that no player will ever receive a PM telling them anything more than a friendly warning, but my experience tells me otherwise.
If you feel a thread has stalled out on you and have exhausted your contacts with the other player, let us know and we will nudge them. Please note that storyline threads for the board are subject to constant monitoring. I am aware that in a thread with many participants its easy to lose track of whose up, so while we will be more diligent in monitoring its progress, we will be more willing to work with you as long as you work with us.
