The Details

Body Type: He keeps his black hair short and usually styles it with gel or other hair products. He got a natural white stripe in his hair, going from his neck and all the way to the front. He got brown intense eyes and tan skin. Brandon have always been in good shape from working out regularly and swimming. He is slim built, with a defined muscled body.

Wardrobe: He is always dressed well, modern and expensive clothes is what he prefers. He does tend to go with black pants or blue jeans, his sweaters and t-shirts varies depending on the situation, but he does like to stick to the colors black, white, grey, dark blue and sometimes red.


Costume: The regular black and yellow New Mutants uniform. He wears a black bodysuit, with yellow gloves, yellow boots and a belt with an x.


Posture: Brandon usually seem very confident and even might seem a bit cocky at times, sometimes a flirty smile is shown, but that is saved for special occasions. His eyes often looks quite intense, there is nothing about them that will reveal much about how he is feeling and what he is thinking, which is the same for his whole attitude, usually looks calm and collected. He got a good poker face.


Personality: The first thing that have to be said about Brandon is that his reputation is very important to him, he is a good actor and most times he will try to hide how he really feels. A confident and cocky mask is what he hides behind and to some extent, is pretty much who he is. He does however have a good heart and cares about right and wrong.

People might expect him to be an annoying bully, but he isn’t really, at least not the bully part. He can be annoying, mainly for his own entertainment, he likes to watch people getting frustrated with him, it is one of his favorite things.

He got a couple of dirty secrets that he will go really far to hide, he tries to pretend they don’t excist so he doesn’t have to deal with them, he never really did deal with them and he would like to keep it that way. His homosexuality among his secrets, not as big and dirty as the others, but it is still one that he keeps to himself mainly out of shame, he hides it by flirting and messing around with girls.

His favorite thing to do is performing, he is a good singer and actor, which is what he wants to do. He also enjoys sports and a good workout, or even dancing. He is an active guy with many hobbies, but he will always keep a main focus on acting.

He is not aware of that fact that he is not a mutant, so mutant rights is a big deal to him, however, he does not judge humans unless they judge him, he considers each person an individual responsible for their own actions. If he don’t end up being a performer, he would like to focus on doing good, possibly with the X-Men in the future.

Powers and Abilities

Genetic Mutation: He is not a mutant, but he was still born with superhuman powers.

Electrokinesis: He can create and use really big amounts of electricity. He can send out electric blasts, which look like lightening, or use the electricity in any other way that it can be used.

Enhanced strength and speed: he can convert the electricity into his own body, causing his strength and speed to get stronger and faster. The more he uses, the stronger and faster he gets, but the more he uses the faster he gets drained and in worst cases would pass out.

Electro-Magneti Shield: He can create a force field around himself or others to defend himself or protect someone. Touching it could electrocute a normal person, but not bad enough to kill them unless they got a heart condition or something. The shield can be broken if what hits it is strong enough, it will take more energy of him to keep it up if it is hit by something heavy. Bullets would be just fine, while a truck would probably break it.


Weaknesses:

His ego: In order to boost his ego, he might put a bit too much energy into making things look effortless.

Water: water and electricity is just not a good combination, touching him while he is wet is a bad idea if he has used his powers recently.



Learned Abilities: Acting, Singing, Swimming and Martial arts is his main skills.

Resources: He owns a black car.

Education: He is currently a high school senior.

The History

Brandon was born in California to single mother Beatrice, who was a young struggling actress at the time, his father was a married politician who wanted nothing to do with them and even denied sleeping with his mother, Brandon never met him. It was a hard upbringing with a irresponsible mother who cared more about trying to get acting jobs and going to parties than being a mom.

When he was 10 years old, things changed for Brandon, his mother started dating a guy called Rick who happened to be an agent, who took interest in him and wanted to represent him. He got him into a few acting jobs, mostly advertisements. He also got to do some modeling as a child, he enjoyed these things.

He was among the more energetic kids in school and had many friends, school was the place where he was most happy, especially when he wasn’t in class, as it gave him time to have fun with friends. At home he was mostly unhappy, his mother and step-dad didn’t care about him at all, they mainly only spoke to him about acting jobs, which they would earn money from.

When he was 14, he built up the courage to tell his mother and his agent that he was gay, his mom just blew it off and said it was a phase, her son was not gay. His agent however, got some inspiration from this. The next chance he got, when Beatrice was out of town, he came into Brandon’s bedroom at night, what happened in there is one of the dark secrets that Brandon keeps closed up in his mind, wishing he could forget.

The sexual abuse from his agent continued for two years, Brandon got more and more depressed, even wanting to take his life after a while. He had told his mother about the abuse, but she did not believe him, she thought he was lying and just got mad at him, even going as far as slapping him in the face.

He was 16 when he was alone in the limo with his agent, he was making moves on him and Brandon got scared, he hated these things, it made him feel weak, pathetic and dirty. In his distress, his powers manifested, when his agent touched him, he got electrocuted and passed out. Sparks were flying from his body, electricity running along all over him and his hair standing out, he hurried out of the car, but when he opened the door, he accidently sent out a big electric charge into the car, causing it to explode.

Brandon was lucky, his powers had charged him so that when he had jumped to avoid the exploding car, he had been sent flying down the street where he landed without any worse injuries than some scratches. His agent however went boom with the car.

The police suspected him of murder, but they had no proof against Brandon so he was released, but his mother was not interested in forgiving him, she blamed him for what happened and told him she never wanted to see his face ever again, he was officially kicked out and homeless.

Feeling horrible but also relieved for Rick’s death, depressed and lonely, Brandon lived on the streets of Los Angeles. He became a street performer, either singing or impressing people with making his sparks, it actually gave him enough money to get through the day most days.

One day he was in a store, buying some food to eat, a couple of masked guys with guns entered the store, they were here to rob the store. The clerk fought them and they shot him, Brandon watched with fear as they pulled the trigger. When they did that, his instincts took over and he sound out his lighting blasts on the robbers, knocking them all out quickly. The whole incident was caught on tape, there was surveillance cameras in the store, but Brandon didn’t think about that, he just ran out.

It was late, he was in a park, on a bench half asleep when he was woken up by a man. He introduced himself as an agent of the organization S.H.I.E.L.D. and that they were impressed by his powers and interested in giving him an offer. He was against his will brought to the helicarrier, they were too many and armed so he wouldn’t dare to attack them with his powers. He was introduced to general Nick Fury, who after being told that Brandon’s powers apparently just showed up and was probably there from his birth, assumed that he was a mutant and decided that if he wanted to, he would send him to a school for mutants, Brandon liked the idea, it sounded much better than the street.

Nick Fury made it clear that he owed him and that if he in the future needed him, he expected Brandon to be there when asked, Brandon wasn’t sure about this, but he didn’t feel like he was given much of a choice. They dropped him off in New York and drove him to Westchester, where they dropped him off and left, he had no things and no money, he suddenly felt lonely and depressed again. At least he had gotten cleaned up and some new clean clothes from S.H.I.E.L.D. and it did give him a confidence boost, which helped keeping his confident attitude up, with this he headed towards the entrance all alone.
