This is first and foremost a school. The Basics
Name:Anna Marie D'Ancanto Codename:Rogue Type of Character: Canon Species: Mutant Play-by or Voice Actor: Julianne Hough Age:21 Gender:f Sexual Preference:men but anyone she can touch Height:5'5 Weight:130
Faction: Mass. Academy, School Year: N/A Occupation: Music & Drama/Dance teacher
Tough break Scott, doing the school play with pale gloomy and grumpy over there. The Details
Body Type: Athletic and toned, slim but muscular like a dancer or gymnast. Rogue clocks in at 3'3 with long auburn hair that has a shock of white in the front, emerald green eyes and a smile that could tempt a priest. She tends to show a lot of skin, but under sheer things or tight things. She has a killer body made for swimsuits and underwear, and knows it. Think forbidden fruit
Wardrobe: Rogue possesses a quirky, naturalness with her auburn hair that has a distinctive shock of white through the front and her huge green eyes that seem to stare right through you when she deigns to look your way. She is playboy centerfold curvy with classic pinup proportions, but often covers up as her skin is not able to be touched. She tends to favor tight pants or mini-skirts with seamed tights and tall boots, tight sweaters with either short sleeves and opera length gloves or long sleeves and black lace gloves. She loves makeup and will experiment with her features for hours, loving mostly to play up her eyes or her naturally full pouty lips. She is on the shorter side at 5'5" and weighs in at a sassy 130lbs, all of it muscle and shown off to perfection by her wardrobe. Even though rarely does she show skin, sexy defines her style to a T.
Costume: Rogue wears a hunter green leather costume wth red and black accents as her "tribute" to the Mass. Academy Over her left chest plate is the small insignia of the queen of hearts.
Posture: Rogue tends to have two types of posture depending on her mood. When she is happy and confident, she stands straight and proud, displaying her cures to the best of her ability. When she is in one of her Black moods, though, she tries to blend in with the scenery and hide from the world.
Personality: Rogue can be incredibly mercurial in how she plays the game of life. One second she'll be laughing and joking, the next she'll be contemplating suicide. She loves to drink but is a depressive drunk once the initial buzz wears off because it forces her to focus on her own issues and her inability to touch. She equates physical contact with ultimate trust and often thinks her friends do not trust her because of the lack of physical contact
Rogue truly finds herself and her soul in her music. She has learned to play several instruments, and finds solace in piano and guitar as well as writing original songs. She sees music as a way to connect with other people and express her innermost emotions, especially since she cannot convey comfort or love through a hug or kiss.
She also tends to be a major adrenaline junkie. Sky diving, zip lines, drag racing, motorcycles surfing-- the bigger the risk the better the time she says. On the other hand, when she's more meditative Rogue writes poetry and keeps a journal filled with her hopes and dreams. She considers herself an amateur photographer and is constantly taking pictures of her friends, then developing them herself. Digital pics are the devils tool as far as she is concerned, and she has millions of pictures displayed on the walls of her room, whether framed or just tacked up she doesn't care. She feels if she has a photo of you, she has a place to put that piece of your soul that remains with her after touching you.
Music, dance, singing, jazz, anything where she can move to a beat is what you will find Rogue doing in her spare time. She can drink you under the table, and is trained in karate and judo. She likes to mix it up when she fights to keep her opponent off beat as well as make everything look and feel like a dance. When she's dancing or singing is when Rogue truly lives. Fighting comes in a close second
Loyal to almost a fault, Rogue is not afraid of anything. She's well known for saying "We're all dying from the moment we're born. Don't waste a second of the life you have to live or what you have to give to others." rarely does she follow her own advice, especially when she is in a dark mood, but in the end she will not rest until every person around her is laughing or smiling and enjoying what they've been given.
Quote: "Have fun, or I swear I'll touch you in a naughty place."
Turn Ons:- singing, jazz, rock, country
- dancing
- flirting
- anything girlie
- making friends
- drinking games
Turn Offs:- :people who can't take a joke
- not knowing her real family history
- her mutation
- loneliness
- bad movies
Worst Secret:She fears she killed her first boyfriend as well as her godmother, Carol Danvers. Deep down, Rogue suspects her mother, Raven, is not her real mother. She knows she has a brother named Kurt somewhere and longs to find him. She also really does care, possibly even love Remy LeBeau-- but she'd be damned if she told him so to his face.
Character Goals:to control her powers **Two year Goal - learn to touch someone without hurting them **Five year Goal - have a family and settle down saving the world.
So... got any cool powers? Powers and Abilities
Genetic Mutation:
Power/Life Essence Absorption: To put it bluntly, through skin contact Rogue's touch can be lethal. In non powered humans, she is able to absorb their memories, their psyche, and most of their personality depending on how long she held on for. In mutants, the absorption is the same except she absorbs their abilities before their memories etc. It literally becomes game of "Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better" (in her opinion at least) in how your power becomes my power and yeah I don't use it as well as you but I'm sure gonna beat the f*ck out of you with it.
Flight, Increased Strength and Stamina: When she accidentally absorbed her aunt, Carol Danvers, Rogue gained the ability to fly as well as her increased strength and stamina permanently. She can lift twice the amount of an Olympic body builder, run up to 30 miles without muscle fatigue, and fly at speeds below supersonic levels (but she still can fly and that's wicked cool so f-off!!!)
Weaknesses:
The drawback: When Rogue absorbs your abilities/life force, she also gets a shadow imprint of your memories and experiences. She tends to put her foot in her mouth then, because she feels like she lived through the experience as you and as herself at the same time. If she holds on for too long, she runs the risk of killing you as well as herself. Totally absorbing someone's psyche leaves her with personality conflicts as the absorbed fracture of the person struggles against her iron will for dominance. She avoids skin contact at all costs due to this because she does not want to kill anyone unless they really really piss her off.
She fully absorbed Carol, and her personality will still occasionally surface in the mirror as a fractured psyche who acts as Rogue's conscience. ESPECIALLY when using Carol' abilities, Rogue's personality will almost become suppressed by Carol trying to emerge. She regrets Carol's death more than anything else in the world.
Learned Abilities: Plays piano, guitar, sings for the love of it, dances like there's no tomorrow
Resources: a 1966 Thunderbird T-top convertible, cherry red, named Charlotte
Education: Graduated from NYU, and went on to teach at Mass. Academy because she wanted to spread her wings a bit.
So why not tell them the Truth Charles? The History Born on a hippie commune in the great christian state of Mississippi, Anna Marie was the only child of cult leaders Owen and Priscilla. They believed that mutants were gods sent to earth, or at least that was what they preached to their followers to get their money. Once the members joined the cult, they gave all their worldly possessions to the cult; mainly to Owen and Priscilla who used the money to fund anti-mutant organizations and strategically eliminate those who were found to be too dangerous.
Enter Mystique, who infiltrated the cult on a 'research' mission. When she learned the D'Ancanto's true intentions, she murdered them in their bed. A baby cry rang through the house, and after much debate over whether she would have to pick IT up, Raven took Anna Marie with her and raised her as her child. Honestly, it was love at first sight. She has no memory of her birth parents, just knows she has an aversion to being controlled.
Forseveral years her "Mother" raised Annaree as she called her as a happy, sweet and normal child. Due to 'unforeseen circumstances" Mother wound up giving her to her friend, Rogue's Aunt Carol Danvers, who was a mutant in her own right and vowed to take care of her for her friend. The only indication of her mutation was every now and then when hugging "mother" Rogues eyes would change to lizard-like and her skin take a powder blue hue.
At thirteen Rogue had her first boyfriend, her next door neighbor Cody. Their relationship consisted of three months of flirting, six trips to the diner, and one fateful kiss.
Rogue's mutation activated when Cody kissed her, and she nearly killed him.. Terrified of what she had done, she called the ambulance and rode with Cody to the hospital. He was in a coma and not expected to wake up. All of his memories were inside her head, and some of them (especially the ones where he thought about her in a sexual fashion) made her blush or supremely uncomfortable. She did not leave his side until Carol came to take her home.
Carol told her then about her own mutation, suspecting that Rogue might be a mutant herself and thus why her adopted parents had liberated her from her biologicals. When Rogue started crying, she hugged Carol tight, not realizing she was unable to turn off her ability. Carol died in her arms. Terrified Rogue took off and left Louisianna, never to return. She drifted from place to place since that day, desperately trying to track down her "Mother" and learn about her powers. Eventually Rogue made her way to Xaviers and finished High School. Going onto college, she made good grades and kept herself distant and mysterious. She met and fell in love with Gambit, though he doesn't necessarily know about the latter part of that equation, and took a job at the Mass Academy to spite her heart and convince herself she doesn't love the damn Cajun.
